Hey guys, Let me be um.... delicate. I am not a suzuki owner. I dont even own a bike, im just doing a little research. I actually moderate one of your sister forums camaroforums.com (and I know all about the hostility that can happen when an intruder comes on a site lol) I have some experience with bikes, but its all been in crotch rockets, so cruisers are a gray area for me.... but I do know there are some bad cruisers out there so here is my question. doing some reading, i saw times for these bikes all over the place. there were some in the 9s-10s which i assumed were modified. But for stock times and magazine articles (which i dont usually take as gospel right away anyways) I saw high 14s, into the 15s..... but then i came across several archived threads saying they pull a 13.3 or so. anyways, i just wanted to know about the validity of these times. now for the reason of my question: My roommate just bought an 03 (i think) 800 volusia and we are set to race some time once the weather gets better, so I thought i would just look around to see how fast these things really are. his is all stock except for V&H pipes. I currently drive a 98 ls1 trans am, which i pulled a best of 13.4 with with catback and intake. since then added race headers, a 232/234 595/598 cam, and a 125 shot of nitrous. so I was kinda lookin into my chances of taking him on a highway pull but from the looks of things I wont even have to spray him to win. So are these times right or are they just newbie magazine editor times like we deal with in the car world?
