The stock tires on my Suzuki V-Strom looked small when I bought the bike at the dealership....150/70R17 the width seemed minimal. Trying to find out what will work good and not getting any feedback except I want to know if anybody ran this Bridgestone Battlax tire 170/60ZR17 BT014 Rear Ultra-high performance radial tire (DSC: BT014RBW TL;LR: 70W)....Just want to make sure this tire will work for me...I ride this bike with full GIVI luggage and my wife and I have really love it ....could not get an ST1300 yet too pricy for me right now....but my wife and I do enjoy it... really could use some input. thank you....Suzuki V-Strom DL1000........

Ride th stock tires off the bike before you decide to put new tires on it. The stock tires are a good all around tire suited for both on road and some mild off pavement (dirt road0 riding. Take this time to explore how versitile the V-Stroom is in different applications. I do everything from riding two up with my wife (she has her own bike) to going out in the woods looking at deer stands on my K7, I absolutely love how incredibly versitile this bike is, it opens up a whole new world of motorcycleing. In the mean time check out www.stromtrooper.com  for reecomedations on new tires suited to your style of riding.

If you to www.mightyshep.com/vstrom.htm and scroll down to maintenance section, you will find a section labled tire review. here you will find reviews on most of the tires currently availoable for the V-Strom in all applications, off road, dual purpose, and street tires. I hope this helps with your decission on which tire is best suited to your style of riding.
