I am 5'5" tall ,love the DR-Z400SM but need shorter seat heighth. Is there anything that can be done to lower the seat heighth on the above bike ?

I looked into that, too. I''m 5''6", so I empathize. I believe it can be lowered maybe 3/4 of an inch, but remember that lowering alters the way it handles. You can also mod the seat—as I have seen some shorter riders do—by hacking out the seat foam. Not that I advocate for that. Guess it depends on how sore you''re willing to have your behind for the sake of a bike.

I believe that the upgraded Suzuki gel seat for this bike rides just over 1" lower. Post again and let us know what you find.

I''m 6''1" and don''t have much of a problem with my seat height. The salesman at Spokane Powersports is a probably 5''10" and loves the gel seat.
